Mickey Hart doesn’t do one-night stands. Until she wakes up in a luxury penthouse. With nothing but a t-shirt. And no idea who it belongs to.
Enter Cale Windermere. Driven. Ambitious. Successful. And so gorgeous he could’ve walked straight out of a romance novel…
Except I can’t walk.
Not that it ever stops me from getting what I want.
And I want her.
Even if she’s keeping secrets.
That could tear me to f*cking shreds.
Warning: Adult language. Cale has a bit of a potty mouth. Just saying.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
My first book with a paraplegic hero. I loved how the author showed both sides of Cale’s disability. How it affects him and how others view him.
Cale was very easy to connect to but was finding it hard to connect to Mickey. Her constant inner monologue was extremely distracting and got quite irritating after a while and when she did something later in the book my dislike of her was cemented.
It was lovely to see the love grow even if Mickey denied it.
Cale Windermere is just dreamy. Hes got is all. A successful business, good looks. He’s so charming and such a gentleman. I loved this guy.
Our female lead is Mickey she does not do one nighter’s and is shocked to wake in the bed of a stranger.
She always seemed to be running and Cale chasing.
There were a couple of inconsistencies and i felt a lot of the hurdles they both encountered could have been solved with a little communication, but that builds with trust and due to their unique circumstances i understood that trust was hard to give. But still a great read.
